The Medical industry is constantly changing, and your billing services should too! We operate as a hybrid between a traditional billing company and an independent contractor as part of your organization with our billing and administrative packages. With the heavy transition by insurance companies from phone and mail to electronic portals and billing requirements, having a biller who can access your clinic's insurance portals and operate as part of your organization is absolutely invaluable.
All of your billing will stay centralized in your chosen software and clearinghouse. All insurance and patient payments will be routed to your office and bank accounts. We are here to set you up for success and empower you to have a successful, efficient revenue cycle that is not dependent on an outside agency.
We feel strongly about this. You should have access to your patients billing records, you should be knowledgeable about your revenue cycle. This is your business, these are your patients you have established relationships with and care deeply about. You should be able to maintain that relationship throughout all aspects of the business.
All of our Billing and Administrative package contracts are 30 day obligations. We don't believe in locking you, or us, into something that isn't a great fit. This also allows for easy adjustments if you need to add or remove services.
Additionally, we offer a plethora of feedback about the billing cycle. A certain code isn't allowed? Certain services aren't covered under a patient policy? We will give you feedback and help direct you in navigating alternatives.
Jamie Padgett
Jamie is our founder and Medical Billing Specialist. She will be your first and main point of contact for any inquiry. She started in the Medical world with a predominant Physical Therapy company in DE, 14 years ago as Front Desk Coordinator, collecting patient data, scheduling appointments, managing transportation schedules for several clinics and entering billing charges.
She and her husband moved from DE to SD to be closer to her in laws for a few years. In SD Jamie worked for a Rural Primary Care office doing much of the same she did at the Physical Therapy company. This office is where she really jumped feet first into Billing & Coding and got a crash course in Women's Healthcare. She took the AAPC CPC course and learned as much as she could about billing in a Primary Care setting.
Fate would intervene yet again, and Jamie and her Husband moved from SD to TN for her husband's job. In TN Jamie worked as an Office Manager for a small Chiropractic Clinic for 6 years. Her duties encompassed the regular administrative and billing roles as well as: payroll, taxes, licensing, credentialing, contracting, coordinating rental space, the initial steps to create an integrated health clinic and any other job responsibility that came along.
Jamie worked at the Chiropractic Clinic through the COVID-19 pandemic. Around the end of the Pandemic, Jamie decided she needed a huge change. She left her office job and started working for several clinics as an independent contractor providing: medical billing, credentialing, contracting, training and clinic management services. She realized what a large need there was to offer attainable and reliable services to smaller clinics. In 2022 she decided to open Serenity Billing & Provider Solutions, LLC with a heavy emphasis towards helping smaller scale clinics and group practices.
Jamie has a passion for navigating the billing world and helping not only Providers, but patients as well. She constantly takes continuing education courses, reads Medicare and Commercial Provider Manuals for fun and thoroughly enjoys demystifying the Revenue Cycle and anything associated.
When she's not managing Serenity Billing & Provider Solutions LLC, she is usually spending time with her animals on her farmette. She has a garden, horses, chinchillas, dogs, cats and raises Coturnix Quail. If she's not on the farmette, she's probably reading or hiking. A good adventure can solve almost any problem!
Several times a year we host Externs from Arizona College who are completing their required hands on hours to graduate from the Medical Billing & Coding program. Each Extern typically spends 5 weeks with us and primarily assists with: EOB gathering and posting, Patient demographic collection and entry, setting up patients with portal access, Instagram posts, educational material, and other miscellaneous tasks. They sometimes sit in on meetings to observe, and have overall been a pleasure to work with. Day to day billing is still heavily managed by Jamie, our owner and founder, each of the Externs have signed BAAs and privacy agreements with our company and Arizona College before they are onboarded.
